Budots is a Filipino genre and subculture known internationally for its use of samples recorded from the streets of Davao and neighborhoods in the Filipines, and its characteristic slow, winding dance style.

ABOUT THE SERIES

This is the second installment of ILUSM's party series, NEXUS. It’s such an incredible honor to work alongside the organizers/DJs for Bootleg KTV, Barrio Bounce, and of course Digital Xscape !!!

NEXUS celebrates and centers international artists & diaspora, prioritizing what’s beyond western hegemonic soundscapes and dance culture. Through musical exploration, NEXUS aims to build coalition with artists and organizers globally.

P.S. This show is also being organized as a birthday gift to a close friend of the Le Mondo team, who has had an incredible influence on all the DJs in her life by encouraging them to play Budots !! Come dance with us to celebrate!
