New wave/electronic/shoegaze from New Orleans, LA. Consisting of members travis, trevor, and jaron, “hey thanks.” proves to consistently redefine their sonic landscape through each and every release. Fascinated by the soundscapes of the late 70’s reaching into the early 90’s, the band has sought out to pull from every

corner of their influences. Originally forming in 2016 and going through different line ups/genres throughout the years, 2023 was both the turning point and the shift that recentered and refocused the band to start creating music that speaks on their truest selves. With the release of “Avoidance” in 2026, their journey continues.

Envyes is the project of Ryan Knight, raised in the Maryland suburbs of Gaithersburg just outside Washington, DC. After bouncing between a handful of short-lived bands, Ryan found some friends in the DIY scene, throwing shows and helping a thriving DIY community around the Frederick/DMV area. Now based in Baltimore, he’s digging through old songs, writing new ones, and filming videos.
