ABOUT MERIDIAN BROTHERS

Hailing from Bogota, Colombia - Meridian Brothers is a five-piece band that melds the avant garde with the traditional - blending psychedelia, electronica, and rock with cumbia and other Latin Tropical stylings. Their music uses popular Latin American rhythms, augmented by sampling techniques, elaborate effect processing, and quirky, theatrical vocals, which channel imaginary characters with both pathos and humor. The group has been praised by the NY Times, the Guardian, NPR, PRI, El Pais and the band has appeared on Tiny Desk, KEXP, KCRW, Bandcamp live and WNYC.
