OKAPI
OKAPI is an Asheville, NC-based avant-folk duo composed of Scott Mitchell Gorski (Upright Bass, Harmonium, Voice) and Lindsey Paige Miller (Cello). Hailing from differing musical backgrounds but sharing a passion for unique approaches to songwriting, craftsmanship, and structure, they began formulating candid, cathartic, and intentionally intricate orchestrations rooted in honesty and rawness. Carrying evocative works abundant with descriptive lyrical paintings, they present ideas both intimately and aggressively, hoping to stimulate a universal confrontation with our absurd reality. They aspire to challenge others’ perceptions through promoting consciousness, healthy growth, and individual empowerment.

Nature Boys
Nature Boys started playing together in Kansas City, MO in September of 2009.
"For closing in on two decades now, guitarist/vocalist Danny Fischer and bassist/vocalist Suzanne Hogan have been ripping up clubs, basements, bars, squats, and gazebos across the planet with their own specialized species of unstoppable rock. I crossed paths with the Nature Boys on March 16, 2025 in Tokyo where I was lucky enough to witness the current lineup obliterate a small basement bar full of gentle souls in Machida City. With the addition of drummer Brad Highnam, the Nature Boys rhythm section had gelled and solidified perfectly to support the weight of the slashing guitars and sweet but savage vocals that define their sound, and they were better than ever… They’ve toured countless corners of the world in home-baked vehicles that probably couldn’t pass any kind of safety inspection by anyone, anywhere. They’ve booked their own tours, and they’ve taken other bands on tour. They’ve managed to deal with obstacles on their own terms, relying on their own gumption and perseverance to realize their ambitions." [Razorcake, Issue #148]
