ABOUT THE PERFORMERS

DJ Diaspora
DJ Diaspora started buying records in her hometown Chicago, inspired by the underground house parties in the 90s. While living in several cities along the US east coast and in London, she drew further inspiration from the underground dance music scenes of each locale. This culminated in her eclectic range of house music, broken beat, world beat, disco, techno, jungle, and anything on vinyl that moves her. Diaspora has played many well-known and underground venues across NYC, DC, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Baltimore, where she currently lives. Highlights include opening for Femi Kuti & the Positive Force at 9:30 Club, and guest DJing Baltimore's legendary dance party 4 Hours of Funk.
