YUVEES is a "must-listen and not-miss act" based in Brooklyn. Their latest album, Dead Keys, was released in September 2024 on Best Brother Records. They've toured with Quasi, opened for Bush Tetras, Cola, Snapped Ankles, The Avengers, Hoover iii, & more.
Dead Keys is the debut full length from Brooklyn, NY's Yuvees. The album deals in lament, frustration and cathartic release. Influenced by bands like Mission of Burma, Pere Ubu, and comps like Punk 45, No New York & Red Snerts, their upcoming album Dead Keys brings an onslaught of bent guitars, throbbing bass, crashing drums, and manic vocal performances that are direct and without apology. Despite having been recorded in basements and budget studios, the record maintains solid fidelity without aggressively hiding blemishes. This all makes for a driving, sometimes funny and often harrowing result.
