About The Event

The National Capital Puppetry Guild and Black Cherry Puppet Theater present the inaugural Baltimore Toy Theatre Festival, a festival dedicated to the art of miniature theater. Toy Theatre is defined, for the purposes of this festival, as a theater in miniature fitting on a tabletop and bound by a proscenium. The focus of the performance is inside of the proscenium and on manipulated objects. Other puppetry elements can be incorporated into a toy theatre.

Join us for daytime workshops and performances before our final night of THOSE MOVEABLE PIECES from guest artists THE MILLION UNDERSCORES at 8PM.
