THEATER: RON SHALOM presents MINIVAN (with S.DOT)

Originally created/performed in residence at Le Mondo in 2024, Minivan is Ron Shalom’s ecstatic and surreal immersive live show that participants have called “a spaceship through the collective unconscious” and “an instant portal to pure joy.” Driven to spark unexpected human connection in an era of darkness and isolation, Shalom hurtles through kaleidoscopic character transformations together with participants using lighting design, camp couture, absurdist ritual, and pop bangers. Minivan is the backseat dance party for all as we cruise through the cosmos.

DJ S.DOT will lead us dancing into the night with hypnotic and infectious rhythms after the show.

S.DOT is a producer and DJ hailing from Baltimore, MD, spearheading a fresh evolution of Baltimore club music. Known for his percussive, Afro-influenced rhythms and atmospheric melodies, S.DOT blends raw Bmore energy and bass with global sonic textures drawn from his travels to South Africa and Brazil. On the floor or behind the decks, he delivers a sound that is both hypnotic and infectious, keeping listeners moving while showcasing his eclectic musical vision.

S.DOT has built a strong catalog of self released and collaborative projects. Highlights include his recent tracks on the Aurora EP compilation for UK label Night Slugs with fellow club heavyweights CalvoMusic, SlickGoHam and Kade Young, and his most recent solo release, Slow Burn EP, which explores deeper textures and a more percussive approach to club music. He also earned a major placement with serpentwithfeet and Ty Dolla $ign on the single “Damn Gloves”, reflecting his versatility across dance and mainstream spaces.

A mainstay on the global club circuit, S.DOT has performed in Miami, Baltimore, the UK, Johannesburg, Toronto, and beyond, bringing his signature blend of club focused production and melodic depth to audiences worldwide. He He also hosts the bi-monthly Club Cypher Radio on Oroko Radio, spotlighting club pioneers and helping to shape the next chapter of Baltimore’s music scene.
