MEET KATIE
Katie is a classically-trained dancer and director of Vaught Contemporary Dance where she creates original story ballets meant to represent, reflect and reveal the triumphs and failures of modern society. Vaught was trained at Vostrikov’s Academy of Ballet, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, and Shenandoah University. She's danced with Mich-Mash Productions and Deviated Theatre. She has taught in the DMV area for over a decade. In 2017, she received the Marc Ryder Choreography Grant. Her work has been shown at Baltimore Theatre Project, Joe’s Movement Emporium, The Chrysalis, The Jack Giudone Theater, Atlas Performing Arts Center, and Dance Place.
Katie will be presenting excerpts of works-in-progress at 6PM and 7PM during the Bromo Art Walk this Thursday, June 23rd.
