ABOUT OPEN STUDIOS

Come by between 5PM and 7:30PM to check out open studios featuring select Le Mondo studio artists.

Featured artists include sculpture, jewelry, music production, and visual arts from Everley Blockston, Renee Regan, Michael Coffman, Tiersa Sullivan, Nkemakolam Nwaigwe, Declan Johnson, and Aaron Adkinson.

ABOUT THE MSAC POP-UP

Joining us from 5PM - 8PM is Maryland State Arts Council who will be at Le Mondo to answer questions about grants and other resources for artists, arts and culture administrators, and anyone whose work involves the arts sector! Staff will be available for individual meetings to answer any question, general or specific.

gum.mp3 is a multimedia artist from rural North Carolina, currently residing in Baltimore. He was a Leslie King-Hammond Graduate Fellow during the 2024-2025 academic year at Maryland Institute College of Art, and was awarded the Fred Lazarus Award for Social Change.

As Bandcamp said so well, “[he’s] a self-described noise machine, digital pirate, and technomancer—embodies the spirit of Akomfrah’s Data Thief in both his music and his persona, acting as a connector for different elements of Black dance music history.

Resident Advisor named his album Black Life, Red Planet as one of the Best of 2024. Through his Gum Studio imprint, he’s released music by FiFi Zhang, Dazegxd, and Raegun. The collaborative album State of Emergency with Swami Sound was released via Gum Studio this year.

Mutual Obsession Circus (Performance/Puppetry)

Mutual Obsession Circus is the Baltimore-based puppeteer duo of Ellora Indrik Stone and Molly Stone. We bring cardboard and papier mache to life in rich dreamscapes to delight the senses through puppetry, movement, and music. With political life at the core of our work, we journey with the audience to imagine other futures and other ends of the world.

They are programming artists in residence at Le Mondo bringing you our PUPPETS FIGHT BACK performance series this fall and a brand new theater piece in March 2026.

Sari Langholt is a performer, puppeteer, and multimedia artist based in Baltimore MD.

Sages from Earth (Music)

Sages From Earth is a collective of artists Bari Lutalo, Neezy Price, and Subatmc based in Baltimore, MD. Collectively their music is very eclectic and contains elements of rap/hip hop, indie rock, gospel, Neo Soul, and R&B.
